‘Thy Kingdom Come’ is a global prayer initiative running from the 10-20 May. During this time, thousands of Christians around the world will pray for the church’s mission: that God might work in us and through us to change the lives of others.
Here at St Barnabas’, we’ll be taking part in ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ in a couple of ways. There will be a devoted pray space in church for those who wish to come and pray individually or as a group. There will also be a prayer booklet for each of us to pray specifically for five people close to us – for them to become aware of God and to come to know the life-changing forgiveness and redemption that is in Jesus Christ.
Prayer Diary which accompanies the 10 Days of Prayer for how we might courageously witness to God’s life-changing work.
- There are creative prayer stations along the walls of the nave. These invite us to pray for our church, Leeds, the nations, and future generations.
- Available at the back of church are copies of special ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ services for morning and evening prayer. They will take about 20 minutes to say. We do ask that they be used only in church and left for others to use later.
- A limited number of paper copies of the TKC prayer diaries are available at the back of church.
