After 4 months away from our building, we’re really pleased to announce that we are ready to start services again in church from next Sunday 26th July! Services will be at 11am as usual and there will be an identical service on Wednesday mornings at 10am (starting on Wednesday 29th July). We’re so looking forward to seeing you all in person when you feel ready to return!
However, Covid-19 means that our services are going to look and feel different to before.
We will need to keep 2 metres distance from each other during our services and that means that only a smaller number of people are able to be in church for worship. This means it’s essential to book a place for you and your household. Sadly, if you haven’t booked then we won’t be able to guarantee a seat. We wish we didn’t have to do this but it’s essential we do this to follow the Government’s guidance and keep you all safe. Our services will also be much shorter than usual (around 30-40 minutes) and be a lot simpler. Sadly, we won’t be able to sing together but we hope to have some music to listen to as part of the service. We would love to see you on Sunday at 11am or on Wednesday 29th July at 10am and here are some instructions about what you need to do next…
Please email or telephone Jo Lowe our Admin Assistant on: firstname.lastname@example.org or 0113 3459094
Please give her these details:
• Your name and all other names of people in your household/bubble
• Your telephone number
• Your email address
• Which service you are wanting to attend
If you would like to book a place can you please get in touch with Jo by Thursday evening each week.
Please do not assume you can attend church simply because you have made a request. We will reply to your email or call you back to let you know.
We will also need to keep hold of your details for 21 days after you’ve been to the service to comply with the NHS Test and Trace system.
If we can’t accommodate you this week then we will put you on the list for next week or the week after.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE:
• There will be someone outside church to welcome you.
• You might have to queue to get in depending on when others arrive, if so, then please keep 2 metres apart from others.
• We’ll ask you to sanitise your hands on arrival
• You’ll then be shown to your seat.
• Please keep the 2 metre distance from everyone else in church at all times during and after the service.
We are aware that services will feel very different so we have produced a more detailed guide to worshipping safely in a pandemic and we will be sending this out to you soon.
We will continue with our online worship for some time yet as not everyone will be able to be at church each week.
